Green Fee Rates

Standard green fee rates on weekdays and sundays however at certain times of day we do offer special rates. So if you are able to avoid our busy times and come along when things are a bit quieter, you may be able to make a saving on the cost of the tee. Please note that the price quoted is the price you pay and that we do not apply any booking fees.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

These are the terms and conditions for booking tee times using our Internet booking facility.

Payment
=======
To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process.
Payment will be taken from your card within 7 days or your booking.

Refund / Cancellation Policy
============================
You can cancel your booking on the web site by entering you unique ref number.

If you cancel your booking more than 1 week before your date of play, there will be no charge made and we will contact you to arrange a refund.

If you cancel your booking less than 1 week in advance, there will be a charge of 50% of the green fee and we will contact you to arrange a refund of the remaining amount.

Failure To Cancel Your Booking
==============================
If you fail to cancel your booking, there will be no refund of any charge made in respect of the green fee made to your credit/debit card.

Course Closed
=============
If you are unable to play your round of golf due to the course being closed (e.g. bad weather), we will contact you to arrange a refund or to re-arrange your game and carry the payment forward.

Booking Transferable
====================
The Booking is completely Transferable. Therefore, should you be unable to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such as a family member or friend.

Handicaps
=========
This facility is only available to golfers who have a handicap of 28 or less (men) or 36 or less (ladies). If you don't have a handicap, you must be able to play to an equivalent standard.

Email Address - Marketing
=========================
By providing your email address, you agree to the Club sending you emails from time to time. If you prefer not to receive such emails, please send an email to info@yorkgolfclub.co.uk asking for your name to be removed form the mailing list.

Dress Code
==========
On the Course

All Players:
Appropriate golf attire is expected at all times
Socks must be worn at all times (except football style)
Trainer style socks may be worn
Golf Shoes must be worn at all times

Men: 		
Tailored shorts may be worn. 
Shirts are to be tucked in at all times.

Ladies: 		
Tailored tops and golf shirts designed and shaped to be worn outside trousers are not required to be tucked in, though non-tailored shirts must be tucked in.

Juniors: 
Under the age of 12 are not bound by these dress codes but parents/carers are responsible to provide appropriate clothing where possible.
Clean trainers may be worn.

Not accepted on the course:
Cargo shorts and trousers (Defined as having external extendable pockets).
Beach, Bermuda or sports shorts; denim trousers or shorts.
Trainers (Unless a Junior).
Metal Spikes (Hybrid/Metal Spikes are permitted in the winter months).
 
In the Clubhouse

Appropriate clean clothing and footwear should be worn whilst in the clubhouse; what is not accepted are the following:

Any shirt with offensive slogans; paramilitary, camouflage or combat trousers.
Vest tops; walking (hiking) shoes; track or leisure suits; Beach, Bermuda or Sports shorts; beach style flip flops.
Headwear – unless religious dress dictates. 
Muddied or wet clothing; waterproofs.
Golf Shoes.

The interpretation of these rules is at the sole discretion of the Secretary, Professional, Bar Manager and any Committee member as available.

Spikes
======
Soft Spikes only may be worn on the course except the period from 1st November and 28th February when hybrid spikes are recommended.
