Terms and Conditions
1.BOOKING
- Details for all players must be entered when making the booking.
- All reservations will receive an email booking confirmation, in the event of not receiving this confirmation please contact the 01443-665899 to confirm your booking.
- To assist with a steady pace of play and to help enable availability for all golfers to access tee times we will ‘pair-up’ one, two or three player bookings in order to make a four-ball. We accept that some golfers wish to only play as a two-ball but this can be not only be disruptive to pace of play but it would also require the need to pass on the full cost of a four-ball as privilege, thus we reserve the policy of ‘pairing-up’ in the interests of all. Should you wish to reserve a guaranteed two-ball, you may do so by paying for a four ball but we respectfully ask that you do not play at busy times in unison to the four-ball pace.
2. PAYMENT
- Visitors should make full payment online by Debit or Credit Card at the time of booking.
- All payments made are non-refundable but may be transferred in accordance with the cancellation policy.
- The Vale Resort does not accept green fee vouchers from any third-party website or vendor, only Vale Resort issued green fee vouchers will be accepted.
3. CHECK-IN
- All players should check-in at the Golf Shop at least 15 minutes before their tee time.
- All members must check in at the golf shop prior to their round.
- All players should be ready to play on the 1st tee 5 minutes prior to your booked tee time.
- The company reserves the right to move bookings to the next available tee time if players fail
to arrive on the tee in time.
- No refund will be offered if we are unable to provide an alternative tee time on the same day.
4. CANCELLATION
- Cancellations should be made online or by telephone to the venue. Payment for cancellations made with more than 24 hours’ notice will be transferred to a future booking. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notices or ‘no shows’ are fully chargeable.
- No refunds will be issued due to adverse weather conditions unless the course is deemed unplayable by the Course Superintendent or in their absence their deputy.
- In the event of a course closure (deemed unplayable by the Course Superintendent on the date of the booking, any payments made for that booking will be transferred to a future booking.
5. ETIQUETTE
Time expectancy: Lake Course 4 hours / Wales National 5 hours. Golfers guilty of slow play will be asked to speed up and, in some cases, may need to pick their ball up and proceed to the next tee in order to reduce the gap on the group ahead. In the most extreme circumstances golfers may be asked to leave the course. Please help to keep our courses in good condition and enable everyone to have an enjoyable round by following these course rules.
- All golfers must adhere to club dress rules which are available to view on the club website.
- No buggies or trolleys should be taken on the tees or greens.
- Please replace divots on tees and fairways.
- Local signs and instructions should be observed.
- Please rake over after leaving a bunker.
- Please repair pitch marks made to greens.
- Avoid slow play, be ready to play promptly, but not until the players in front are out of reach.
- Before taking your shot, players are to observe staff working on the course and should give them priority avoiding putting them in danger of being hit by an errant ball.
- Please leave the green promptly on completion of each hole.
- Each player must have his/her own bag of clubs.
- Handicap certificates may not be required however it is assumed that all players are competent golfers.
6. EQUIPMENT HIRE
- Only the signatories of the buggy disclaimer may be in control of the golf buggy at any time.
- The hirer of the golf buggy will be liable for the cost of any damages to the buggy, property or
injury caused by negligent operation.
- Hirers of golf cars must be in possession of a valid driver’s license.
- The Club does not accept any liability for damage or personal injury to any passenger, or person whilst the golf buggy is in the care or control of the hirer/s.
- Golf buggies shall only be used within the designated areas of the club.
- Golf buggies shall only be used to carry 2 persons and 2 golf bags maximum.
- Immediately on completion of the rental period, the golf car should be returned to the collection point and key handed back into the golf reception.
- Any damage or incident must be reported to an official of the club immediately.
- If it is observed by marshals of the Club that a golf buggy is being used inappropriately, we
reserve the right to eject the whole party.
- During the winter months all buggies must stay on the buggy paths.
7. DECLARATION
The Vale accept no liability for any damage or injury caused by someone or something being struck by a golf ball either on or off our premises. Reasonable care and responsibly is expected by golfers as their actions may cause property damage or injury to others, on or outside of the golf course boundaries. By voluntarily entering the golf course golfers assume the risks of the sport and bear responsibility and liability for his/her actions, including any damage caused by their golf ball while playing. The Vale accept no liability for any damage or injury caused by someone or something being struck by a golf ball either on or off our premises. We highly recommend that all golfers have the appropriate insurance before entering onto the golf course.
8. COURSE CLOSURE
As adverse weather is inevitable during the course of the year the golf course may either close or be evacuated in the event of bad weather. The Vale Resort have a weather policy in place and in the event of inclement weather the decision to suspend play will only be enforced with the safety of golfers in mind. The safety of players competing at the Vale Hotel is a top priority. Full evacuation procedures are on the notice boards. ONE LONG BLAST means leave the course immediately and seek safe shelter THREE SHORT BLASTS mean that play may be resumed at the player’s discretion In the event of bad weather, please phone the golf club and enquire if the course is subject to close. In the event of the course being closed on the day, you are entitled to reschedule your tee time or collect a green fee voucher from the pro-shop. The Vale Resort does not accept any liability for any injury arising from golfers playing the course during adverse weather conditions as the safety of an individual rests fully with the individual.
9. COURSE MAINTENANCE
The Club may withdraw all or part of the facilities for any period when required for or in conjunction with any repair attention or maintenance work. Winter tees and greens may be implemented when necessary to preserve areas of the golf courses.
10. CAR PARK
Users of the car park do so at their own risk. The Vale Resort will not accept responsibility for damage, accident or loss.
11. DRESS CODE
The Vale Resort requires an appropriate standard of dress on the golf course and in the clubhouse. The following is considered appropriate attire on the Golf Course:
• Collared or turtle neck shirts with sleeves.
• Full length trousers (no combat style trousers or shorts allowed)
• Tailored shorts with sports socks.
• No denim, tracksuits, football/rugby shirts or trainers are permitted on the golf course.
• Ladies may wear golf skirts, mid-length trousers and sleeveless shirts.
• Golf shoes must be worn.
Should a member of your group be inappropriately dressed, we will refuse them access to the golf courses.
12. UNMAINTAINED AREAS OF THE GOLF COURSE
Out of bounds areas are clearly marked on the golf course and golfers must not enter these areas to retrieve balls. In some cases, these areas are private property that does not belong to the Vale Resort. Some areas on the course have not been maintained and are purposely designed to be golf hazards. We recommend that you do not enter these areas unless your ball is clearly visible and you have unhindered access. If you do enter these areas, you must take care with your footing, as the ground may be uneven and overgrown in places.
