Preferred Lies Ensure that all members and visitors are aware of the preferred lies period, which runs from the 1st of October through to 31st October each year. “For scores to be acceptable for handicapping, the Local Rule may only allow the lie to be preferred on closely mown areas,(fairway height or less) within 6’’ of the original lie of the ball”
