Member Terms and Conditions
SHIRLAND GOLF CLUB
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Shirland Golf Club is governed by an elected Management Committee of eight members.
Except where otherwise stated, all members shall be subject to the Terms & Conditions of Shirland Golf Club.
These Terms & Conditions of membership may be reviewed from time to time by the appointed Management Committee. Additionally, they may be changed as a direct result of a formal vote undertaken by members at an Annual General Meeting.
The membership year commences on 1st April annually. It is assumed that membership will be renewed on a continuous basis unless the Club is notified in writing of an intended membership termination.
PAYMENT OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Subscriptions are paid annually in advance. And members may apply to pay their annual membership subscriptions in full or by monthly instalments/standing orders
The Club offers the services of Zebra Golf Finance to enable members to spread their annual fees in
equal monthly payments over a period of 6-12 months. This is an agreement direct between the
member and Zebra Golf Finance, and all matters relating to personal agreements are to be addressed
direct to Zebra Golf Finance.
All fees are to be paid by 1st April annually. At the discretion of the Management Committee,
New members, who join the Club after the 1st April, will be charged the annual membership fee on a pro rata basis, which includes payment for the month of joining, unless it is after the 15th day of that month.
No refunds will be made for memberships that are terminated prior to the end of a membership year.
Each membership year expires on 31st March annually.
Members are expected to advise the Club of any changes to their postal address, telephone number, or email address.
Full details of the Clubs dress code is contained within the Clubs Constitution document. Members are expected to ensure that they adhere to the dress code at all times. Additionally, members are to ensure that their guests conform to the Clubs dress code.
All members are directly responsible for the behaviour of their guests.
The Club will endeavour to provide the golf course in the best condition possible.
This may, from time to time, result in the closure of holes or parts of holes to make such improvements as considered necessary, and to be in the best long term interest of the course.
The club will not recompense members for course closures resulting from inclement weather, essential
course maintenance, or improvement programmes.
Members are responsible for ensuring that they familiarize themselves with the contents of this document. A members copy is located within the main Clubhouse.
MEMBERSHIP ADDITIONAL BENEFIT
All members will be provided with a membership card, designed to provide discounted prices to bar items and main menu catering items sold within the Clubhouse. This is a 10% discount on all food and drink
HEALTH & SAFETY
All members accept the responsibility for ensuring that they are familiar with the Clubs Health & Safety Policy which is displayed on the Club notice boards
TREATMENT OF STAFF
Members are not permitted to discipline staff. All complaints relating to Club staff should in the first instance be made to the Management Committee
