Member Terms and Conditions
These are the terms and conditions for booking tee times using our
Internet booking facility.
Payment
=======
To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process. Note that there will be an additional charge for using a credit card so we recommend you use a debit card for which there is no additional charge. Your card will be debited at the time of booking for the full green fee amount.
When you turn up for your round, you should report to the Pro shop before beginning your round to collect your green fee ticket.
If the Pro shop is closed, you should call in after your round is complete.
Cancellation Policy
===================
You can cancel your booking by calling Selby Golf Club direct on 01757 228622 Option 2. You cannot cancel your booking online. The Golf Shop is open 7 days a week from 8:00 until 17:00
If you cancel your booking more than 48 hours before your date of play, we can either transfer the booking to another day or refund the full amount as a voucher to your account in the shop to use against any purchases or services at Selby Golf Club.
If you cancel your booking less than 48 hours in advance, we can transfer your booking to another available time there will be no refunds issued under these circumstances.
Failure To Cancel Your Booking

If you fail to cancel your booking, there will be a charge of 100% of
the green fee made to your credit/debit card.
Course Closed
=============
If you are unable to play your round of golf due to the course being
closed (e.g. bad weather), we will refund the green fee back to your credit/debit card or transfer the tee time to another date.
Booking Transferable
====================
The Booking is completely Transferable. Therefore, should you be unable
to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such
as a family member or friend.
Handicaps
=========
All entrants to be members of an Affiliated Golf Club. To be eligible to win a prize in a Selby Golf Club Open Competition, each player must have submitted a minimum of six fully completed 18 hole-round scores for WHS handicap purposes. These submissions must have been played during the preceding twelve months of the day of the competition and include a minimum of three from Competition Play. Where one member of a two, three or four players has not submitted the required six Acceptable Scores, the whole team will be ineligible to win a prize. This condition of eligibility to win a prize will be checked with each player during registration.
Dress Code on the Course
========================
Normal EGU/LGU dress code applies on the golf course. The following are therefore not permitted: denims, tracksuits, fatigue style shorts or trousers, football/rugby tops, T-Shirts,beach or sports shorts, hoodies, trainers or flat soled shoes
Dress Code in the Clubhouse
===========================
At all times the dress standard shall be smart golf wear or smart casual attire unless otherwise stated.
Shirts must be tucked in, unless specifically purchased to be worn outside.
Plain trousers of smart denim and of uniform colour are acceptable - No stains, fraying, slits, metal attachments or logos will be allowed.
Foot wear must be worn in the Clubhouse at all times
Golf shoes should not be worn in the lounge or restaurant areas of the Clubhouse
Spikes
======
Hard spikes may only be worn on the course, soft spikes are allowed in the 19th Bar if the weather is dry.

Using your credit card to make purchases via our web site is a secure way to pay for your golf. We have put a number of security steps in place to give you, the customer, total confidence when booking your golf over the Internet.
All personal details as well as credit card information, is kept confidential through the use of secure server software (SSL). This means that information can only be exchanged between you and us, and that no third party can access this data.
When it comes to online transactions our greatest priority is security. That's why we work with Sage Pay, one of Europe's leading payment service providers. All transaction information passed between merchant sites and Sage Pay's systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using 256-bit encryption standards. Sage Pay is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. Selby Golf Club Ltd is responsible for all the website transactions.
