We are delighted to be hosting the 2024 Women’s Amateur Championship.  As a result, we will be implementing a number of minor course protection measures
to ensure the protection of a number of designated landing zones on the fairways.

We do not believe that these measures will directly impact the golfing experience whilst playing our historic links.

Our protection measures will be in operation from 1st November 2023 up to the 17th June 2024 when the Championship course will close in preparation of
hosting the event.

The R&A conducted a review during which they selected the teeing areas the players would be using during the Women’s Amateur Championship. We will be
lining off an area approximately 200-280 yards from this selected tee on all par 4s and par 5s and placing a series of mats within the area. Should a visitor or member’s ball come to rest inside the
protected area they will have to move their ball to the nearest mat and play from there.

Our Green Keeping Staff will be placing the tees in such a way to avoid the landing areas as much as possible for visiting golfers.

Please take note of the following in advance of travelling to the get the most enjoyment out of your visit.
