INTERNET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Booking Conditions
These booking conditions are periodically subject to change.
We accept bookings for tee times booked online as specified below:
For all tee time bookings, your contact will be the office at Nefyn & District Golf Club. We will accept responsibility for it in accordance with these Booking Conditions as an 'organiser' under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
1. ACCURACY
Although all reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information (including prices) on our website (www.nefyn-golf-club.co.uk) in our email newsletters, in our promotional material and printed media, regrettably changes and errors occasionally occur. You must therefore check the details of your chosen tee time (including the price) at the time of booking.
We reserve the right to increase the price of any tee time advertised on our website at any time before you book. Any price changes will be clearly visible to you at the time of booking. Any subsequent reduction in prices due to special offers advertised will not apply to confirmed bookings.
2. PAYMENT
Full payment must be paid at the time of booking. This will be clearly visible as you go through the booking process, and all payments made, and outstanding amounts will be clearly stated on your booking confirmation.
Confirmation of the final numbers must be received thirty (30) days prior to the date of play to avoid forfeiture.
County Card bookings can only be made within 7 days of play.
Please quote booking reference number on all correspondence.
3. METHODS OF PAYMENT
We accept the following credit/debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Delta and Connect. All payments made by credit card currently carry a 0% handling charge, however there is no handling charge for payments paid by debit card. Cheques are accepted and are to be made payable to Nefyn Golf Club.
4. CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
To confirm a booking, the lead name must be aged 18 years or over. Once you have confirmed your booking and paid the appropriate amount per person, we will then email you your booking confirmation, which will show the amount paid and, if any, the remaining amount to be paid. At this point your binding contract will come into existence. Please check the confirmation carefully as soon as you receive it paying special attention to the tee time and the number of players booked. Contact us immediately if any information, which appears on the confirmation, or any other document appears to be incorrect or incomplete as it may not be possible to make changes later. We do not accept liability for errors notified to us after 30 days of the date of booking the tee time.
Group Bookings
Where your booking is for more than one person, the named person responsible for booking your tee time will be treated as the lead name for your booking. The lead name will be responsible for making all payments due to us in accordance with our contract. The lead name is also responsible for keeping all members of his/her party informed as to the booking details.
5. CANCELLATIONS/AMENDMENTS BY YOU
The Booking is completely transferable. Should you be unable to make your tee time, you can offer the tee time to someone else such as a family member, friend or colleague. A voucher only refund is available.
All amendments are subject to availability and we may not always be able to fulfil your request. In the event of a reduction in numbers or cancellation 30 days or more before your tee time, we will retain 20 paid by (or due from if still outstanding) each person cancelling as a cancellation / administration fee. All other monies will be refunded.
Cancellations or reductions in numbers made within 30 days of your tee time will result in forfeiture by the person(s) cancelling of all monies paid or due at that time. In the event of any other amendments, you must pay in addition all costs incurred by us in making the amendment together with any costs or charges incurred.
If your reduction in numbers results in only one person being left on a booking this will result in forfeiture of all monies paid by the number two player regardless of the time at which this cancellation occurs. Adding an additional player(s) to an existing tee time can be completed online or via the office as long as the required tee time is still available. This type of amendment does not incur any additional administration fees.
Please be aware that if you are booking as a 1-ball, 2-ball or 3-ball the Club reserves the right to add another player to your booking especially on busy days.
If you fail to cancel your booking and / or notify the Club of any reduction in the size of your party your credit or debit card will be charged the balance of your account.
6. CANCELLATIONS/AMENDMENTS BY US
Occasionally, we have to make changes to and correct errors on our booking system and other details both before and after bookings have been confirmed and cancel confirmed bookings. Whilst we always endeavour to avoid changes and cancellations, we must reserve the right to do so.
Most changes are minor. Occasionally, we have to make a significant change. If we have to make a significant change or cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible. If there is time to do so before departure, we will offer you the choice of the following options: -
(i) (for significant changes) accepting the changed arrangements or
(ii) purchasing an alternative tee time from us, of a similar standard to that originally booked if available. We will offer you at least one alternative tee time of equivalent or higher standard for which you will not be asked to pay any more than the price of the original tee time. If this tee time is in fact cheaper than the original one, we will refund the price difference.
(iii) cancelling or accepting the cancellation in which case you will receive a full and quick refund of all monies you have paid to us.
Please note, the above options are not available where any change made is a minor one. If we have to make a significant change or cancel we will pay you compensation if appropriate subject to the following exceptions. Compensation will not be payable and no liability beyond offering the above mentioned choices can be accepted where we are forced to make a change or cancel as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, the consequences of which we could not have avoided even with all due care. No compensation will be payable and the above options will not be available if we cancel as a result of your failure to comply with any requirement of these booking conditions entitling us to cancel (such as paying on time).

7. On the Day
On the day of play, you are required to report to the Professionals Shop a minimum of 10 minutes prior to your tee time to present your booking confirmation and obtain access codes for the clubhouse and locker rooms.
On request you will be required to present your green fee stub to the Starter.
If for some reason the Professionals Shop is closed prior to your tee time, you should call in after your round is complete.
8. COMPLAINTS REGARDING YOUR BOOKING
If you have a complaint or experience any problems during your booking please inform the Professional or Office as soon as possible. All verbal complaints must be put in writing. If you fail to follow this procedure, this may affect your entitlement to claim compensation where this would or may otherwise have been appropriate.
Booking Conditions - Important Golfing Extras
The following extra information has been compiled through our experience of booking golfing breaks and tee times over the past 100 years. Please read carefully, as it will help ensure that your expectations are met and that our commitment to you is within our control.
1. TEE-TIMES
We will do everything possible to confirm your requested tee times, however, the Club reserves the right to alter preferred tee times. If for any reason your tee times should not be available, as part of our service we will offer you the nearest possible alternative. Tee times are based on playing in four-balls and therefore you may be paired up with other golfers on the day. Precedence is given to those teeing off the first tee.
The course is busy in the high season and you should expect between a 4 and 4.5 hour round as a reasonable pace of play although this can be slower in extremely busy times. We cannot be held responsible for slow play on a golf course.
2. PLAYING CONDITIONS
Although the courses are inspected on a regular basis, their actual playing condition may vary from time to time. Course maintenance such as aerating greens, improving drainage will happen from time to time and often will be scheduled at such short notice, depending on weather, which means that we are not always made aware of when this will occur. Equally, in particularly dry spells, when there are water bans in place, fairways and greens may be burnt and not in the best of playing conditions. Events such as these are out of our control and we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the course that you have booked to play at.
3. HANDICAP CERTIFICATES
Players must have the ability to play to a reasonable standard to ensure their enjoyment and the enjoyment of others on the course at the same time. The courses are available to golfers who play to a handicap of 28 or less (men) or 36 or less (ladies).
4. DRESS CODE
Golf Club dress codes apply.
On the course, players are expected to maintain a high standard of dress and are required to wear smart conventional golfing attire with spike or dimpled golf shoes. Presentable shorts (no beach wear, elasticised or football style) may be worn other than for club functions which specify a dress code.
In the Clubhouse smart, clean and presentable dress must be worn at all times, which includes jeans (no holes or rips) and trainers. Golf shoes are not permitted in the clubhouse unless a spike bar area is designated.
The wearing of hats or caps, track or shell suits, football style shirts, collarless T-shirts or vests is not permitted at the Club.
The Club reserves the right to refuse access to the clubhouse / course to anyone dressed inappropriately.
Spikes
Metal and or dimpled soft spikes must be worn on the course, no trainers.
Golf shoes are not permitted in the clubhouse unless a Spike Bar Area is designated. Access would be via the Spike Bar Patio Door and or Gents Locker Room.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not permitted in the Clubhouse at any time.
Slow Play
Please avoid slow play at all times.
5. BEHAVIOUR
When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid direct at the time to the Club. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other partys full legal costs) as a result of your actions.
We expect all clients to have consideration for other people. If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in such a way as to cause or be likely to cause danger, upset or distress to any third party or damage to property, we or the supplier in question are entitled, without prior notice, to terminate the booking of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the golf club or other service. We nor the supplier will have any further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
6. INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
As adverse weather is inevitable during the course of the year we may either close the golf course or operate temporary tees and greens at their sole discretion.
In the event of this happening our Inclement Weather policy is as follows:
Prior to booking date
Clients should initially attempt to contact the golf course directly to check the status of the course if they are under any doubt due to weather conditions.
Phone: 01758 720 966 option 1 or email:
[email protected]
Should you choose not to travel, we will try and postpone your booking; however price supplements may be incurred depending on when you re-book for.
At the golf club
Golf played on temporary greens and tees is non-refundable and is considered to be an accepted part of playing golf. Please note that trolley and buggy bans occur frequently when a course is wet and is determined by those in charge of the golf course; Head Greenkeeper and PGA Professional.
In the unlikely event the course is closed e.g. bad weather or other, you will receive a full refund of your green fee or a voucher to use on another day free of charge, subject to availability.
All decisions regarding partial refunds or green fee vouchers are solely at the discretion of the golf course and are final.
We cannot be held responsible should inclement weather prevail.
