Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a tee time.
The Terms and Conditions set out below are applicable to your golf booking and are also applicable to any person that form part of your visit including any person that will be present as either a caddy or as a spectator. By confirming you have accepted the Terms and Conditions as part of your booking process through our website you are also accepting them on behalf of every person visiting the club as part of your booking. Contacting the Club Should you wish to contact the club in relation to any of the Terms and Conditions set out below, please use the following options: Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm Email the Club at info@magc.co.uk or call 0113 266 1154 and select option 1 to direct you to the Office. Saturday - Sunday 8am - 4pm Telephone 0113 266 1154 and select option 2 to direct you to the Pro Shop. Payment Payment will be taken at the time of booking. To book a tee time online you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on line payment process. You should print off or make a note of your booking reference as this will be required on your arrival at the Club. Booking Transfer, Cancellation & Refund Policy Transferring your booking The Booking is completely Transferable. Please telephone the Club in order to transfer your booking to another date. Also note should you wish, you can transfer the booking to another person however please be aware that payment will have been taken from your credit or debit card. Cancellation and Refunds You can cancel your booking by contacting the Club via the contact details above. You will need your booking details in order to cancel the booking. Please note the following conditions apply:- 1) Parties of 1 to 4 players <li>Your payment will be refunded in full up to 4pm on the evening before your booking. It may take a few days for your credit or debit card to be refunded. <li>Your payment will not be refunded on the day unless the course has been closed by the Club (See Course Closure Condition below). </li> 2) Parties of 5 or more golfers <li>Your payment will be refunded in full if cancelled up to 7 days before you are due to play. It may take a few days for your credit or debit card to be refunded. <li>If you cancel your booking within 7 days of your tee time no further payment will be taken but any deposit you have made or 10% of the booking fee (whichever is the greater) will not be refunded. <li>Your payment will not be refunded on the day unless the course has been closed by the Club (See Course Closure Condition below)</li> Failure To Cancel Your Booking If you fail to cancel your booking or fail to turn up on the day no refund will be given and your card will still be charged at the green fee rate. Course Closure The Club and only the Club will be entitled to take this decision. If the Club has deemed the course unfit for play or has closed due to inclement weather your full green fee will be refunded. Inclement Weather Golf is an outdoor activity and you are therefore subjected to elements of the weather. You have sole responsibility in taking the decision to play golf during adverse or inclement weather conditions such as Fog, Thunder & Lightening, Frost or Freezing conditions, Rain or Hail. Wet Conditions - throughout the year the course surface may be wet due to rain or morning/dusk dew. During wet conditions, the course, its steps, bridges and surfaces may be slippery. Golfers must ensure they wear appropriate footwear to meet the prevailing conditions. In particular, take care on slopes, steep banks and when entering and leaving deep-sided bunkers and around the various lakes and water courses. During electrical storms you should leave the course immediately, the Club will sound it's air horn and you should leave the golf course immediately upon hearing it, avoid taking shelter under trees, using buggies (which do not, contrary to belief protect you from a lightening strike) and also be aware your golf equipment, trollies, clubs or otherwise will act as a conductor. If you suspect an electrical storm is likely then you should not solely rely on hearing the air horn. The Club accepts no responsibility for loss or injury. Golf Insurance We fully recommend you have your own personal golf insurance policy. We recommend you shop around for your own insurance cover. www.golfcare.co.uk provide insurance for golfers. Please note the club does not have any affiliation or relationship with Golfcare. Handicaps, Dress Code and Etiquette Handicaps There is no restriction on handicaps in order to play golf at Moor Allerton Golf Club however if you are booking into an open competition being held at the club through this booking process then certain handicap conditions may apply. Dress Code On the course it is expected that you wear golfing attire. Golf shoes with SOFT SPIKES must be worn on the course. Metal spikes are no longer permitted at the club. Around the club, smart casual wear is permitted in all areas. Etiquette We want you to enjoy your golf at Moor Allerton Golf Club. This goes for all visitors and members alike. We request therefore you make note of the following etiquette when playing:- <li> Keep a good pace of play. You are expected to play a round of golf as a four ball in 4h10m at Moor Allerton Golf Club. Keep up with the group in front of you. <li>Allow players to play through if you are holding them up if a gap has opened up ahead of you. <li>Please repair pitch marks on greens. <li>Ensure the players ahead of you are not within reach when taking your shot. <li>Keep noise to a minimum. Be aware of other golfers around you that may be playing their shot. <li>Excessive noise and disturbance will not be accepted. <li>Green Keepers have full priority over the course. They will acknowledge you when it is safe for you to play your shot. </li> Buggies The hire and use of buggies when they are available are subject to the following conditions. The club accepts no responsibility to personal loss or injury incurred when using the buggies. Extreme care must be taken when they are in use. Golf Buggy Safe Working Practice <li>Do not move off until all occupants are seated. <li>Hands, feet and head must be kept inside the buggy at all times while the vehicle is in motion. <li>Always remain seated and hold on while the buggy is in motion. <li>Caution must be exercised when reversing. <li>Always consider the terrain, traffic conditions and environmental factors that may affect safe buggy operation. <li>Caution must be exercised on all slopes and inclines. <li>Brakes should be applied gently to avoid skidding. <li>Always apply the parking brake before leaving the buggy. <li>Extra care MUST be taken when the Course is wet and muddy. Where & When Golf Buggies can be Used <li>Ride-on buggies must not be driven in prohibited areas. <li>Buggies MUST NOT be driven within 5 metres of any green, bunker, ditch or slopes leading to them except when using the (walled) bridges or paths. <li>Buggies MUST NOT be driven between green and bunkers. Buggies are available (Weather Permitting). Please call 0113 266 1154 to reserve a buggy. Buggy fees are not included in this booking and must be paid for in the pro-shop on arrival.
