HOST CLUB OF THE WORLD HICKORY OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - OCTOBER 2024 These are the terms and conditions for booking tee times using our Internet booking facility. Visitor Booking Procedures (Terms & Conditions) Payment of the green fees will be required to secure the booking. Any provisional enquiries will be held on the system for 14 days after which the tee time will be released unless the full payment has been made advance. ================= Method of Payment ================= To book a tee time on-line you will have to enter your credit or debit card details using our secure on-line payment process. Your card details will be held by us as insurance. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, Debit Card, by Cheque or by BACS. Any BACS payments must be made two weeks in advance in order to secure your tee time. We DO NOT accept the following cards – American Express. When you turn up for your round of golf, you can choose to pay by cash instead of credit card. You should report to the Pro Shop before beginning your round. If the Pro shop is closed for any reason, you should call into the Bar inside the Clubhouse where you will be met by a member of staff who will be able to assist you with your reservation. ============== Cancellations ============== Any cancellations which are received more than 14 days prior to the date of play will be refunded in full. Cancellations received between 7-14 days in advance will result in a 50% cancellation charge. Any cancellations made less than 7 days in advance will be non-refundable. Refunds are not available in the event of situations arising out-with our own control such as delayed or cancelled flights, personal injury or illness. We strongly recommend that all golfers take out adequate insurance to cover this eventuality. ======================= Alterations to Bookings ======================= Depending on availability, we will not make any additional charge should you need to move the date of your booking for any reason. ========== Dress Code ========== Please dress appropriately. Smart casual dress is the norm. Golf Caps are not to be worn in the clubhouse area. Golf shoes are not to be worn in the bar or lounge area of the Clubhouse. ========== Caddies ========== Caddies are available for visiting golfers on request. Please e-mail in ADVANCE and we can arrange this for you on your behalf. ============= Speed of Play ============= Please be aware that other players are playing behind you and YOU MUST let them through if you are considered to be holding up play and you have lost a clear hole on the group ahead. Please try to keep up with the group playing in front of you on the golf course. Four-balls are expected to complete their round in UNDER the four hour mark! =================== Practice Facilities =================== The use of our practice facilities is available to members and visiting golfers playing the course. You can purchase ball tokens from the Pro Shop or in the Bar Area at £1.50 per token for 20 golf balls. ===================== Handicap Certificates ===================== Handicap certificates are NOT a requirement when you check-in. Golf Buggies The club has 6 buggies that can be booked. If you require a buggy, you should enter this in the booking form, e-mail the Club direct or telephone the golf shop on 01381 620733. We also have caddies available if required so please request this when booking.
