BRS Golf is keen to recruit 2 highly motivated software developers to continue to develop their market leading online tee time booking system and expand this into new markets.

Your role will be primarily developing brand new features and products (not maintaining old code) and you will have the satisfaction of seeing your work used by over 600 golf clubs and 200,000 golfers day in day out. With experience you will be given the opportunity to deliver projects from requirements capture through to delivery.

To develop software for our market-leading golf online booking system.
Duties and Responsibilities
Define requirements for software features and products
Design and write software to meet the requirements
Write test specs and test software
Work with other members of the software team, other teams, customers and partners
Define project plans and manage the delivery of the tasks you are responsible for
Write very high quality robust software that is user friendly and intuitive to use

Honours degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years software development experience (programmer position)
5+ years software development experience (senior programmer position)
People with experience in Java, C#, C, C++ and/or .Net who are wishing to transfer to PHP, will also be considered.
Experience of data modelling and database management systems such as MySQL
Experience of designing, normalizing, implementing, optimising, and managing databases in a live, web-based environment
Object Oriented skills
Proven track record of delivering projects from requirements capture through to final testing and delivery with little management
Good knowledge of internet and email technology
Well organised and reliable
Highly motivated, proactive and innovative
Good problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
Good interpersonal and team skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Systems and networking experience in Linux and Windows environments
Understanding of cross-browser and platform compatibility requirements
Plays golf or has a good knowledge of the game of golf
Multi-tier software architectures, frameworks.
SVN Subversion, e-commerce, security.
