Dunblane New golf course is located in the cathedral city of Dunblane in one of the most picturesque areas of Perthshire. Beautiful vistas await on virtually every hole due to the elevated position of our course which overlooks the Forth Valley and the Campsie Hills. Southwards you see views of Stirling Castle and beyond, while to the North and West views of the Southern Highlands and the peaks of Ben Lomond and Ben Ledi greet your eyes. Our course, designed and laid out by James Braid in conjunction with Major Cecil Hutchison, is constructed on parkland with excellent natural turf giving it some of the finest fairways in the country. By modern standards it is not a long course, 5924 yards with a standard scratch score of 69, but there are a number of demanding holes which will provide a challenge to golfers of all abilities. The greens are well manicured and require a high level of putting skill. Our signature hole is the 11th, a par 3of 182yards from the White tees, where you play to a long narrow green which is well guarded by banking and bunkers on the right and a large tree on the left. Club selection is very important and varies depending on the position of the flag and weather conditions. Dunblane New offers a testing 18 holes which allows enjoyable golf no matter what your handicap. The scenic beauty of the course and its panoramic views are there for you to enjoy whatever your golfing fortunes on the day.
