This is a refresher email regarding Winter League rules.
INDIVIDUALS
Each "Round" of the Winter League is played over a two-week period (i.e. 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays).
Players may play in Shop Sweep as well as Winter League and one card will do for both competitions.
Each player may play Winter League twice during the two-week period and his better score of the two will count. A THIRD CARD WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED (but see below).
If you fortunate enough to be able to play on both Saturdays and Sundays over the two week period, only your first two cards will count for Winter League purposes UNLESS you declare in advance to Philip or Paul that you are only playing in the Shop Sweep that day and not the Winter League.
Players must enter the Winter League each time via the Pro-shop computer, otherwise the score will not count.
Score must be entered into the computer, otherwise it will count as an NR (Computer breakdown excepted)
HOW THE TEAM SCORE IS CALCULATED
The 3 best players in each team (over the two-week period) will count towards the team total.
The team with best total over each two-week period will get 10 points, 2nd team will get 9 points, etc
There will be four Rounds (i.e. 8 weeks) in this League format.
The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals (Team 1 will play Team 4, Team 2 will play Team 3).
The Semi-finals will be played in the same format as the League section. The final will take place the following weekend. |
